Tips for a stress-free return home:
Settle your statement of account with the hotel the night before or early on the morning of your departure
Ensure you have all your belongings and verify that your safety deposit box is empty
Return your room key to the front desk
Have your passport, airline ticket, and
any other documentation handy
Please be ready 10 minutes before your pick-up time (time stated may vary due to traffic and the number of guests)
Make sure that your luggage is on the bus with you

Where to find us
Upon arrival you will clear immigration, collect your bags and proceed to customs.
After clearing customs, proceed to the exit.
TIMESHARE WARNING! Upon exiting the customs doors, you will encounter the timeshare vendors. DO NOT stop to talk to them as they will do their best to stop you. Continue walking and ensure you exit the terminal building where you will then meet your representatives.

It's customary to give a 10% to 15% tip in restaurants and bars.
At all-inclusive resorts, a percentage of the tip is included, but tipping is welcome and appreciated.
It is also customary to tip porters, housekeepers and tour guides.
Tipping
Long-distance calls can be made from your hotel, however, they can be very expensive.
We recommend the purchase of prepaid phone cards.

Do not drink the tap water.
Bottled water is widely available, or you can bring your own reusable bottle with a built-in filter.
Water served in hotel bars and restaurants is safe to drink.

On the resort:
Safety deposit boxes are available at your hotel.
We recommend that you keep your travel documents, money, travellers' checks and other valuables locked up in a safety deposit box.

We recommend that you wear little or no jewelry and that you carry your electronic equipment in a discreet shoulder bag.

• Taxis are reasonably priced and can be your best option. Confirm the fare with your driver before entering the vehicle.
• The safest way to travel outside your resort is with a guided excursion. Contact your Air Canada Vacations representative for further details.

Food & Drinks
• Mole—this rich, traditional sauce is typically served over meat and eaten in several savory varieties.
• Tlayudas—a large corn tortilla grilled on charcoal, and stuffed withtasajo (dry soft beef steak).
• Mezcal is a favorite amongst Mexicans and foreigners alike!
Must Try
• Handicrafts such as Alebrijes (brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures), black pottery, green glazed pottery, silver cutlery.
• Pluma coffee (organic coffee grown in the foothills of the Sierra Madre).
• Remember, bargaining is a sport at the market… and sales come with smiles!
